kumariWell, there was some information about Kumari Girl in my previous article and now I am going to talk about my views and also want to ask about the opinion of you people.

Tell me how many of you do agree with this culture? Is it fair with that little gal? Do we still have to or need to continue this culture? Do you think that Kumari is a real goddess and she has some power?

In my view this is not to be done, I mean it’s not fair with the girl. What are we doing? We are forcing a small little girl to live such a painful life. She is taken to the Kumari Ghar(House) at a very small age, so small that she can’t deny it. Whether she can recognize what is wrong and right or she even not allowed taking that decision. Its her parents decisions but I don’t want to blame her parents because they are forced to do so by our society, they says its very fortunate to get that offer for their daughter so the parents are strained to give their daughter. No parents like to be far from their child, so it’s we people who are forcing the parents to give their daughter in such way.

We are confining the freedom of that girl, it’s her age to enjoy with her parents, playing with her friends, laughing. But see that gal she is not even allowed to come out of that house which is called ‘Kumari Ghar’. She is not allow to make friend of her wish, she is not allowed to live with her parents not even allowed to visit her parents often, she is not allowed to laugh loudly, not allowed to be unhealthy which means she is not allowed to eat whatever she like or the out food. Now that’s too much, if I have to or we have to be at home just like only for 1 week then also we will be so feed off we will get sick and see that gal she is there for like whole of her childhood. Is that fair with her????

I am not against our culture, no offence to follow our culture but only the proper one, I mean if we have any ghastly culture then we should try to craft it, such as before in old age we had a culture that if a girl is married before she menstruates then her parents gets place in heaven after they die. Isn’t that funny? Now people are educated so they understand it and also they stopped it. In the same way we should stop it as well. We are in 21st century now, stop believing such thing now. If we don’t stop such culture then we can never go forward in life.

How many of you think that I am wrong and it’s a sin to talk such obsession? If I am right then please share your views about it.
